Dear Kittery families,
We are excited to announce that the Kittery School District will offer Pre- Kindergarten (Pre-K) to our families in the Fall of 2024. The program is just getting started, so we will offer Pre-K to a limited number of families this first year (2 classes with 32 slots). In order to best meet the needs of the students who will receive the greatest benefit from this program, we will be using a weighted lottery system to enroll our first cohort of Pre-K students.
Please take a few moments to fill out this Google Form Application to be considered for the lottery. Your child must be 4 years old on or before October 15, 2024 to be eligible for Pre-K. If your child does not initially receive a Pre-K spot, they will be placed on a waitlist and will be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.
Timeline:
March 20, 2024 - Applications Available
April 2, 2024 @ midnight - Deadline for Applications
April 3, 2024 - Public Lottery(Time and Location TBA)
April 10, 2024 @ 4:00pm - Deadline for parents to confirm enrollment (or spot will be given to another student)
For those students who are selected through lottery:
Late April/Early May - Caregiver Information Meeting (in-person)
May - Student Screenings & Enrollment (Registration paperwork is due at screening appointment)
